LIFE of GUMPTION |
One of the many mottos of Eric Larkin: Sneeze with style. Fart with class. Belch with confidence. Dance without reservation. Eat when hungry. Stubborn when sure. Get a lot of dough. Get fired. Fail hard. Stop Begging. Do something cooler. Behold - Gumption. ++ Some of My Personals // scribbledoodled.com Some of My Professionals // whateveriwanttobe.com |
I’m the melody, You’re the harmony.
Your percussion and I’m the bass line.
In the onset we don’t fit,
But in time we MAKE good music.
We can sit with silence and let the music bump,
Your head bobs, my foot taps,
Our hands move at once.
You bring the verse and I’ll bring the chorus,
Together we make the bridge when we drop that beat.
It’s easy to feel, yet hard to say,
So we musicians and vocalists take our turn at play.
This here communication is a cold collaboration,
Two souls, two hearts, many parts, one song,
Our genuine manifestation.
You move—I move—we move,
I move—You move—we move.
We move, together we look out,
And the world grooves with us.
So I’ll bring the melody if You bring the harmony,
You bring percussion and I’ll drop the bass line,
We’ll find a groove together,
And in time we’ll BE good music.
CHONGALICIOUS!

These five innovations are not necessarily the coolest or newest ideas off the block, at the least, they are the 5 most un-tapped gold-mines in my very very credible opinion.
5. 3D WALL PROJECTIONS
New technology by Nu Fromer Digital Media allows projectors to render realistic 3D looking objects on buildings.
Imagine linear story telling + google street view technology. Yellow Bird has created a linear video camera that you can control. Can you imagine telling a story from every angle? Will this be the beginning of 360 degree movies?
Take pictures of these special barcodes with a smartphone and it will unlock codes, take you to websites or launch applications. Okay, okay. The technology is soo 2005. I know. But they haven’t really been given the proper framework to thrive. Here’s the idea…. well….. actually I’ll keep that idea to myself it might just be my ticket to riches, fame and fortune. But just know that this medium is an untapped gold mine and giving it a proper framework like Facebook or twitter will begin the tapping.
2. FLY ADVERTISEMENTS
Messages attached to flies. I know your saying this isn’t a digital idea like the others. Sure. But it should be. What happens when you attach RFiD tags to those little boogers.
It seems like the new way for old bands to make some money on their dying record sales is to sell some of their rights to the video game. Aerosmith has done it, the Beatles just did it now, you can do it too. Rockband announced new software that will allow any band to program their songs for the game and sell it from 50 cents to 3 dollars.
WOW! There is something cool here, but I haven’t figured it out yet. It’s a game changer for sure though.
